Calling all music-loving burrito eaters: Boston-based rock band Mean Creek will be at Anna’s Taqueria as part of the restaurant's 2013 Celebrity Burrito Rollers Series.
The 2012 Boston Music Awards winner for “Album of the Year” will be at the Brookline location on Monday, Nov. 18, as they test their burrito-rolling skills – and support Pine Street Inn, an organization that provides housing, job training, and shelter to homeless men and women in New England.
Anna’s has invited local celebs to step behind the line each month to raise money for the charity of their choice. Past rollers have included chef Tiffani Faison of Sweet Cheeks and "Top Chef" fame, A.J. Soares of the New England Revolution, as well as executive chef Louis DiBiccari, of Tavern Road, and Ashley Stanley, founder of non-profit Lovin’ Spoonfuls.
Can’t make it? Tom O’Keefe, creator of BostonTweet, will take over the line at the burrito joint in support of the Women’s Lunch Place in December.
Nov. 18. 6-8 p.m. $10 per burrito. Anna's Taqueria, 446 Harvard St., Brookline. www.annastaqueria.com
