Al Costello from Al's Cafe in Boston will prepare his steak and cheese sandwich (above) during The Phantom Gourmet's "Steak & Cheese Throwdown" on Jan. 13 (Al's Cafe).

Sandwich makers Kosta Diamantopolis from the All Star Sandwich Bar in Cambridge and Al Costello from Al's Cafe in Boston and Cambridge will battle it out to determine who has the best steak and cheese sandwich. Funds from this event will benefit the Restaurant and Business Alliance (R.A.B.A.).

You must be 21+ to attend this event. Tickets purchased in advance are $20 and tickets purchased at the door are $25. With your ticket, you’ll enjoy samples of the competing sandwiches and live entertainment by dueling piano performers. If you’re interested in attending, you can get tickets at www.aceticket.com.
