Winter is a good time to think about getting away from it all, and The Boston Globe Travel Show is a good place to start.

Browse the information more than 300 exhibitors have to offer on budget vacations, luxury trips, rentals, and more. If you want to go somewhere off the beaten path, listen to travel writer Arthur Frommer's talk. For the thrill seekers, "1,000 Places To See Before You Die" author Patricia Schultz covers must-see destinations. To hear about the ultimate in roughing it, listen to "Survivor" alums Gervase Peterson and Jon "Jonny Fairplay" Dalton talk about their experiences on the TV show. The all-important topic of food will be covered by culinary demonstrations on two stages. Eat the international cuisine while enjoying multicultural entertainment presented by The Beautiful Art of Belly Dance, Portuguese Folklore Group, and Salsa Time! When all that fun makes you thirsty, drink up at a Northeast Craft Beer Pavilion tasting session. The three-day event features lots of show-only deals and giveaways, too.
