Going to Iceland for real would be awesome, but until you get there, there's Taste of Iceland, a five-day event highlighting the country's cuisine and culture.

Icelandic vodka, cuisine, and music (including a performance by Sin Fang, center) will be featured at Taste of Iceland

Sit down to an authentic Icelandic meal at Rialto, where Icelandic chef Hákon Már Örvarsson will collaborate with Rialto chef Jody Adams for a menu created with fresh ingredients flown in from Iceland including Arctic char, free range lamb, and Skyr. The Reykjavik Calling Concert at The Middle East presents the collaborative efforts of Icelandic musicians Retro Stefson, Sin Fang, and Hermigervill, and Boston-area musical acts The Love Experiment and Skinny Bones. The free Reyka Vodka Craft Cocktail Class led by Liberty Hotel mixologist Juan Carlos Perez is full, but you can join the wait list here. Keep your eyes open for Icelandic secrets hidden at all the festival events. When you share them on Instagram and Twitter with the hashtags #IcelandSecret and #TasteofIceland, you earn a chance to win an Icelandic prize package.
