Owen Ulmer of Columbia, Md. (dressed as Yu Kanda from "D. Gray-Man") waited to get into the anime dating game. Ulmer said he enjoys Anime events because all the participants have the same interests and it isn't weird to be dressed up.

"But I even like the looks I get from people who are not at the convention," he said.
