Pictured: Celebrations on Dec. 5, 1933, as Prohibition was repealed. Utah became the 36th state to ratify the 21st Amendment, achieving the requisite three-fourths majority of states' approvals on this date. Massachusetts cast its repeal vote and ratified the 21st Amendment on June 26, 1933.
