Queeroake

Venue: Midway Cafe

When: 9:30 p.m.on Thursdays

For the past 10 years, "ladies' night" has taken on a different meaning at the Midway Café. Resident DJ Summer's Eve spins Top 40 remixes while you belt out your favorite songs. Swing by at 8:30 p.m. for the early show and hear local musicians and comedians before the dancing begins.

Low-key affair: "Feel-wise, it's all inclusive. It's primarily lesbian, but very welcoming to everyone else," says Angela Romansky, who organizes the night. "There's no real pretenses to it — you can let your hair down, scream to some Prince and then go to the bar and grab a PBR."

Cost: $5 cover
