Dyke Night, which rocked the now-defunct Toast in Somerville for years, moved into its new digs in June. You'll hear the same funky, high-energy dance pop music without the "attitude-feel" of a club, says Kirsten Porter, who organizes the event.

Hey, neighbor: "People feel comfortable coming by themselves, when they don't know anybody," Porter says. "It's a very diverse and mixed crowd with a neighborhood-feel."
