The venue: The Model Cafe, Allston
The scene: With the majority of dance nights in the city based around electronic music, Paul Mason of the vintage clothing store Rescue wanted to throw a party that matched the vibe of his shop. “Electronic music is very hot right now, and the reason we started this night is because we don't really like electronic music,” he says. “We like rock and roll. We like songs that you can sing along to.” Cue the Smiths. — L.O.
