Season's sippings: Summer 2009

Boston Tea Party
$10, Marliave
10 Bosworth St., Boston

In the mix:
1 ounce Milagro tequila
1 ounce lemon juice
1 ounce earl grey tea simple syrup
Shake and top with ice tea and a splash of ginger beer. Garnish with a lemon slice.

"I'd heard of people infusing tea into gin," chef/owner Scott Harritt said. "We tried tea with tequila and found they go very, very well together."

Bottom line: First things first: We love the kitschy name. This ah-inducing tea concoction is not your grandma's ice tea. (Unless your nana's a tequila fan, that is.)
