First Night Pins: Through the years
First Night 1998
In addition to being a mini work of art, a First Night button is your ticket to a day of entertainment in downtown Boston. Over the years, several local artists have tried their hands at button design. Check out these past pins to get ready for this year's festivities. (We especially like 1988's "Button Up for First Night" design and the neon pink blob on the 1990 edition.)
This year's button was designed by Somerville painter Scott Listfield. Buttons cost $15 and are on sale at stores and online.
