Following a favorite band on the road can come in the lap of luxury or by the seat of the pants. Some fans shell out big bucks for great seats and a room at the Ritz. More, no doubt, crash on a couch and show up at the stadium looking for tickets, hoping for a miracle.
For a listing of U2's fall tour dates, visit www.u2.com/tourinfo.
All shows on the current US tour -- from tomorrow night's show at TD Banknorth Garden to the last one on the West Coast in late December -- have been sold out for months.
There are still options, though.
ETS Tours, the official promoter of tour packages for the band, still advertises tickets for shows in Philadelphia, Atlanta, Cleveland, and Buffalo. A package with two nights accommodation and tickets to two shows in Philadelphia, for example, costs $684.95.
For information, visit www.u2concerts.com, or call 800-465-2450.
Several agencies also have tickets at marked-up prices. Want to catch U2 tomorrow? As of late last week, some general admission floor tickets were available. Cost: $250. Want to get closer? Try as much as $800 per ticket.
Visit www.acetickets.com or call 617-734-6666, one of many brokers easily found on the Internet.
