The Oasis Sanctuary

Directions: The Oasis is about 90 minutes from Tucson and about 30 minutes from Benson, off Interstate 10. The last 8 miles are unpaved, but four-wheel drive is not necessary.

Kartchner Caverns State Park

Cave tours by reservation only; every 20 minutes from 8:40 a.m.-4:40 p.m. Adults $14, children ages 7-13 $6, 6 and under free. Entrance into the 550-acre park is $10 per car (up to four people, $1 for each additional) and includes admission to the Discovery Center.

Tombstone

About 30 minutes southeast of Kartchner Caverns are streets once walked by Wyatt Earp and Doc Holliday and the site of the shootout at OK Corral. Touristy, like an old western movie set, but worth a visit. For information, go to www.tombstone.org.
