How to get there
All the big airlines fly to Salt Lake City from Boston, with Delta offering daily nonstop flights. The easiest way to reach Park City, Deer Valley, and Alta and go from resort to resort is by rental car. Get one with four-wheel drive since the approximately 30-mile drive from Salt Lake City to Park City passes through mountains.
Where to stay
If staying for a week, condos tend to be the best buy. A three-bedroom, three-bathroom condo in Park City cost us $1,300 for six nights through Resort Quest Vacation Home Network (resortquest.com). Marriott's Summit Watch 780 Main St.

Upscale, pleasant setting offers a good, if pricey (entrees $35- $50) meal. The fish and pasta dishes, as well as inventive des serts like a caramel-pecan chocolate tart with pomegranate sorbet, did not disappoint. Open nightly at 5 in winter; 6 in summer.
