Everybody loves a lover, including innkeepers and other travel providers, who drape their offerings with romance during February. This may not be bargain time, but love decidedly is in the air. Some examples:

The inns of New Hampshire's White Mountains are excellent places for cuddling up. Take the two-night Winter Romance in the Mountains package at Glen Oaks Inn in Intervale. It includes a welcome beverage, gourmet dinner for two one night, an Austrian sleigh ride, breakfast each morning, and an afternoon beverage by the fire. Packages range from $279-$349 for midweek and $319-$389 weekends.

Visit glenoaksinn.com or call 877-854-6535.

If marriage is on your mind, the New England Inns and Resorts Association is featuring a variety of Pop the Question packages. One example: In Arlington, Vt., the Arlington Inn's engagement package includes three nights' midweek lodging, champagne and chocolates, a private horse-drawn sleigh ride, breakfast daily, and a four-course candlelight dinner. For queen rooms, the price is $850. For luxury rooms and suites, with king beds and a fireplace, it is $1,250. Some of the queen rooms have fireplaces and some of the luxury rooms have two-person Jacuzzis.

For all the offers, including a pricey Diamond and All Engagement Package at the Kennebunkport Inn in Maine, visit newenglandinnsandresorts.com or call 603-964-6689.

They say that love is a gamble, so a stay at the Mohegan Sun casino resort in Uncasville, Conn., could be appropriate. A bottle of massage oil is included. Rates start at $427 for one night and $577 for two. The package is available February through June.

The Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay Golf Resort, Spa and Marina in Cambridge, Md., believes a getaway can be good for you, especially if you participate in one of its two Wellness Weekends. How to be a Heart Healthy Woman kicks off on Feb. 9 with a seminar led by a cardiologist, who will give tips on beating heart disease, and diet and exercise advice. During lunch, the hotel's executive chef will demonstrate cooking healthy cuisine, after which guests can enjoy the dishes. The final activity will be a primer on Pilates. The Couples Keeping Healthy weekend on March 15 will show how partners can keep each other in good condition. Events begin with a discussion, followed by lessons in how to help each other de-stress through massage. In the evening, the chef will cook a wholesome supper and offer tips on working together in the kitchen. Dinner will follow. Packages for either weekend begin at $169 a night, with the lunch and dinner extra.
