SATA, Portugal’s second largest airline, adds new flights from Boston to Portugal this spring with special round-trip introductory fares starting at $462 (for the Azores) and $578 (for Lisbon). On April 10, SATA adds a weekly direct flight to Ponta Delgada on São Miguel in the Azores, an Atlantic archipelago two hours from Lisbon and a four-hour flight from New England. The islands are home to black-sand beaches, geysers, volcanic mountains, and seaside villages. Nonstop service to Lisbon takes off on Wednesdays beginning June 9 and on Sundays starting July 25. And service to Lisbon (Tuesday through Saturday) and Porto (every Wednesday), with one stop in the Azores, begins in late June.

Luggage fee relief in Hawaii
