Soggy in Seattle? Hit the links anyway
SEATTLE — Think of this city and you think of clouds and rain. But what if you could stay in town and at the same time get out on the links — Pebble Beach, St. Andrews, or Pinehurst?
Hotel 1000’s owners had the idea that providing this experience would be a unique touch for their urban boutique hotel in the hilly city of Amazon,
The Golf Club features an infrared tracking system that creates two planes, each with over 680 independent sensors calculating the velocity, spin, and trajectory of the little white sphere. You’ll experience real-time ball flight, interactive practice situations, and multiple hitting surfaces. Forty-inch high-definition LCD televisions simulate the Ryder Cup or Skins Game along with the pros.
The 19th hole? It’s only a short walk to The Tasting Room Seattle (tastingroomseattle.com), a living-room-style space with books and board games and an extensive sampling of Washington State’s most celebrated wines.
