WARWICK, R.I. — A new transit center has opened at T.F. Green Airport in Warwick, which links travel by air, car, intercity bus, and commuter rail into one location.
The $267 million InterLink multimodal transportation facility officially opened yesterday.
Rhode Island Governor Don Carcieri said InterLink will enhance travel and improve the airport’s economic impact on the state.
Senator Sheldon Whitehouse said the transit center will help solidify T.F. Green’s place as a major transportation hub for New England.
Commuter rail service provided by the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority is expected to start later this year.![]()
