South Shore residents Bonnie Jernigan and Janis Owens have launched Affinities Travel, a tour company that offers customized trips to Peru. The writer-artist team is running Savor Peru, an 8-day, 7-night adventure March 19-26 that focuses on culture and cuisine. It features trips to local markets and remote Andean farms, cooking classes and demonstrations, visits to artists’ studios, and an excursion to the Inca ruins at Machu Picchu. The $3,200 rate (based on double occupancy) includes domestic flights in Peru, airport transfers, first-class accommodations, most meals, local guides, drivers, train fare to Machu Picchu, activities, and admission fees; it does not include international airfare. 781-319-0429, www.affinitiestravel.com
