PSO Delivers New World Music
I was told by a friend who digs New World music, that Antonin Dvorak's "New World Symphony'' is the perfect way to get your feet wet in this genre. Well, here's your chance right in Portsmouth, N.H. at the Music Hall on March 30 at 3 p.m. The Bohemian composer is best known for his slavic dances and gypsy melodies, and spent many years directing the National Conservatory of Music in New York City. This varied Portsmouth Symphony orchestra concert will mix in music from Richard Strauss and Edvard Grieg as well. Tickets are $15 for general admission and $10 for students 18 and under.
