Now I ain't sayin' he's a gold digger, but hip-hop star Kanye West has started a travel business, which aims to offer lower-cost airfares, hotels, rental cars -- all the usual suspects (according to Advertising Age, the venture is linked up with Travelocity).
Obviously, this thing looks to tap into Kanye's platinum-size fan base. Right now, the travel site is linked to Kanye's main site but there are no trips tied to concert tours or appearances. Apparently, that will come in a later phase.
Other celebrities have tried similar marketing deals but met with less that stellar results.
But Kanye? Get down man, go 'head get down.

  1. The website looks terrible. The style-obsessed rapper should at least learn how to steal good website design, just like he dubs over good music. There at least could have been a Louis Vuitton pattern background, I mean, come on!

  1. Yeah, his website looks so very amateurish!

  1. This site looks perfectly fine to me. LV background? Sometimes simplicity goes a long way. Bells & whistles only slow down a site, and for those of us with business to attend to (i.e. travellers) the quicker the better. I could go watch a Kanye video if I wanted to be entertained.

As a world traveller, web designer and music fan, I'd be more than happy to spend a lil' doe @ KanyeTravel - Beats William Shatner (just barely though, gotta love the homie NoFee!)
