21 accents -- just in case you need them

Posted by Paul Makishima, Globe Assistant Sunday Editor May 21, 2008 11:04 AM

Travelers, in the interest of broadening your cultural horizons, we present Amy Walker, an American actress, who, in this YouTube video, "21 accents,'' introduces herself in, yes, a range of different accents, including, British, Irish, Italian, Czech, Russian and 16 others. And all in 2 and a half minutes. Perfect for the American preparing to travel who plans to try to pawn himself off as a native to other hapless Americans abroad.
