Bennington Arts Festival

Posted by Kimberly Sherman May 21, 2008 08:27 AM

Saturday May 24, marks Bennington, Vermont's 23rd Annual Mayfest Arts Festival. From 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Main Street is open only to foot traffic, as artisans and specialty food vendors set up shop to display and sell their wares for the day. Last year over 10,000 visitors came to this event, and more are expected this year.

In addition to the juried artisans and crafters, the Vermont Army National Guard will bring back their 100’ long obstacle course and their climbing wall, and next to the course will be their Beer Garden (featuring Vermont beers). The Bennington 4-H Club will host a family activity area and air rifle shooting range as well. The Mayfest is free admission and free parking. Call 802-442-5758 for more information.
