I love the twist on this event...Books in Bloom! Yes, books. Norwell's James Library and Center for the Arts, comes alive for two days this week, May 16 & 17, when it takes its books, and brings them to life using floral displays and installations throughout its 3 floors. I can visualize the displays of James or Hemingway, but are they daring enough to tackle a Tom Robbins or David Sedaris? No matter which literary works of art they choose to tackle through flowers, it is surely an exhibit to see if you fancy either books or flora. The benefit party is Friday, May 16 from 6-9 p.m. and costs $25 at the door, or $20 in advance. The exhibit itself is open to anyone on Saturday the 17th, from 10 a.m.- 2 p.m. for only $5. Call 781-659-7100 for more information or tickets.
