Big Balloons, Paintings and Summer Tunes

balloon.jpg I've only been to hot air balloon fests here in New Hampshire. What's not to love about ginormous, colorful balloons effortlessly floating through a spring time sky of blue? I guess the only thing that could bring more magic to such an event, is where it happens.

Quechee, Vt.'s 29th Annual Hot Air Balloon fest happens this weekend, June 13-15, and I can further guess, that balloons coasting over those green hills and rocky gorges would make it the perfect setting. Along with balloons, Quechee gives you crafts and music to make the weekend full and entertaining. More than 50 artisans combine their talents and their wares for visitors from all over. And while I wouldn't be caught dead in a Hot Air Balloon [well, I guess if I were dead, I would try it], others can pay for a ride of their very own. If this wets your palate, then I would suggest calling for a reservation to ride as bookings fill up fast. For more information and phone numbers check out the event site and book now for a flight of a lifetime.
