Bovine Beauties on Parade

Posted by Kimberly Sherman June 5, 2008 07:57 AM

Spring's not only for stopping to smell the flowers [literally], it's also for celebrating agriculture. Didn't know that? Well, welcome to the 7th Annual Strolling of the Heifers Parade & Festival in Brattleboro, Vt. June 6-8. Just when I thought ordinary dairy fests were over the top, then I catch this video of last year's Heifer Stroll. I think it worthwhile just to see how many people own cows, never mind how many people want to dress up their cows, adorn them with flowers and fight with them all the way down Main Street. This year's theme is in line with everyone else's, "Live Green!" Perfect entertainment in my estimation.
