Love your water

The video is over 9 minutes, but it certainly covers all that I can't, at least without surpassing normal blog-length entries. The 11th Southeast Asian Water Festival held this Saturday, Aug. 16 in Lowell, Mass., is all about celebrating, preserving, protecting and sharing the cultural heritages of the Southeast Asian Americans of the greater Lowell area. In past celebrations, more than 60,000 guests have gathered in Lowell to celebrate water as it is celebrated in Southeast Asia. (Apparently these cultures don't celebrate it the way we do here, by bottling enough of it to pile in our landfills for thousands of years. As sentimental as that is.) Anyway, this festival demonstrates the beauty in blessings, offering live music, and many races and performances. Check here for directions and parking info.
