Big and little Picassos welcome
A call goes out to would-be, wanna-be, and be painters. Downtown Milford, Ct. celebrates art with an Open-Doors Paint-a-thon this Saturday, Sept. 6. Artists of all ages can participate in the painting festival held on the town green. Paints and canvases will be provided so you really only need to bring your muse and your good energy. Call 203-878-2625 for more information, as the time as yet to be set. Also taking place Saturday is one of the last farmer's markets. This outdoor market features all locally grown or made fresh produce, fruits and berries, homemade pies, a dairy farmer selling goat milk products including goat cheese, as well as fresh shellfish, potted plants, and even a line of cleaning products made from plants! The market runs from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm Saturday at River and Railroad Avenue.
