Box for education
Education funding is turning into a brawl tomorrow night -- sort of. I offer as evidence: The Maul in Manchester - live boxing to Benefit Fight to Educate. Imagine, sitting ring-side, watching intense live boxing featuring 4 professional bouts, including Ronald "The Chosen One" Hearns and Peter "Kid Chocolate" Quillin.
The 7th Annual Fight to Educate benefits the New Hampshire Union Leader Santa Fund for the Salvation Army, the Bobby Stephen Fund for Education, SEE Science Center and the Greater Manchester Family YMCA. No need for Direct TV to see great boxing. Tickets still available, as well as VIP seating which includes a gourmet dinner, unique auction items, and legends Roberto "Hands of Stone" Duran and Thomas "Hit Man" Hearns signing autographs.
Show held at the Verizon Wireless Arena in Manchester, N.H., and starts at 8 p.m. Tickets cost $25 and $50. Call 603-868-7300 for more information. Remember that's a write-off!
