Guten tag, Stowe!
Leave it to Stowe to encourage the excitement needed to turn an entire town upside down, and transform itself yet again into another place in time. This weekend, its the 12th Annual Stowe Oktoberfest, and turning an ice arena into a Bavarian Village is just some of the fun!
Oompah bands, authentic German fare and freshly brewed Vermont beer sets the scene for this growing annual tradition. As in Germany, this fest is for the young and old, so pack the entire family and head north as das ist lustig! They'll be a special Kinderplatz for kids that includes a jump house, face painting, pumpkin painting, games and activities. For mom and dad, the beer, the schnitzel, the dancing and the atmosphere ought to be enough! This year's Oktoberfest starts Friday, Sept. 26 and ends Sunday, Sept. 28.
