The Big E

bige.jpg The Big E. Short for Eastern States Exposition. The Big is needed as this is the largest Fair in the Northeast. It's an autumn tradition in New England and this year's line-up of events is truly remarkable.
Big-name entertainment, exhibits, the Big E Super Circus, the Avenue of States, agriculture, shows, rides, shopping, craft, daily parades and a Mardi Gras Parade fill some of the 17 days. Really, if you've never been, visit its site, there you can find any information you want including lodging, parking, fees, tickets, schedule, etc. Do not attempt to visit the Big E without some sort of plan. Names like Fergie, Sugarland, Leann Rimes, and Jordin Sparks will all entertain there. The Big E runs from Sept. 12-28 and is held in West Springfield, MA.

  1. Does anyone know how I can get from Boston to the Big E this Sunday 9/21/08? Either by bus or train?

  1. Take the Peter Pan Bus from Boston to Springfield and connect with The Big E's shuttle that runs on Saturdays and Sundays. Here's a link:
