Rather travel with Obama or Palin?

America has spoken. Barack Obama may be the current front-runner for president, but he is in a dead heat with Sarah Palin over which candidate Americans would most like to vacation with.
About 35 percent of respondents in a recent Travelzoo poll picked Obama among the four candidates in the major party tickets. Palin came in second with 33 percent, a statistical tie since the survey has a margin of error of plus or minus 3.1 percentage points. Third place went to John McCain with 11 percent, and "Say it ain't so'' Joe Biden brings up the rear with 7 percent. About 15 percent of respondents couldn't decide. Imagine that.
Both Obama and Palin found most favor with members of their own parties. About 62 percent of Democrats wanted to hit the road with Obama while only 9 percent of Republicans thought it would be fun. On the GOP side, 60 percent wanted to head out with Palin (nearly three times the number of Republicans who would elect to travel with McCain) but a surprising 12 percent of Democrats raised their hands -- surprising because Dems were basically as likely to pick Palin as Biden (The guy's got great teeth. What's not to like?).
Among Independents, and this should come as a surprise to no one, the two were pretty much tied, with Obama getting a razor-thin edge with 33 percent vs. Palin's 32 percent.
Buckle up. America, this is clearly going to be a political battle of Texas Death Cage proportion.
