5 weekend choices in Nampshire

I think Black Friday scares me. I live in the sales-tax-free state remember. So as soon as we can get in the car Friday morning, we go -- we flee to Vermont where things just seem so far away from the shopping crazies here at home. If you come up or over here this weekend to shop, keep in mind that lots of towns begin their holiday season this same weekend. Here are five events you may want to check out:

event217.jpg 1. Holiday Magic Light Park, Campton - White Mountain Holiday Magic Light Park turns winter's darkest days into a lighted winter wonderland. Take a ride through a mile of animated light displays and a cascade of holiday lights.
2. Holiday Parade of Lights, Berlin - The competition for best float here, is not to be taken lightly. A truly festive Main Street parade.
3. Season of Lights Premiere, Concord - Seasonal stories from around the world are read and illustrated in an incredible combination of sight, sound and space. A unique way to celebrate the holiday season! Recommended for ages 6 to adult.
4. Littleton Christmas Parade, Littleton - Small town charm to include craft fair, photos with Santa, and caroling.
5. Winter Wonderland, Nashua - Each year, close to 30,000 people attend this event. Much of the downtown is closed to traffic for the evening, allowing Strollers to wander to different performances, sample offerings from street vendors, dine in downtown’s fine restaurants and shop at the unique specialty shops and boutiques.
