'Tis the season for wine events, and the biggest in the region is this weekend, Jan. 23-25, at the Seaport World Trade Center -- the Boston Wine Expo. Featuring wine enthusiasts, educators and entertainers under one colossal roof, the Boston Wine Expo pays special attention to both the amateur and the expert, as well as, Foodies! On hand will be celebrity chefs like Ming Tsai and Lidia Bastianich to educate about tastings and pairings. More than 450 international and domestic wineries from 13 countries will be present, and food and wine seminars, champagne jazz brunches and food tastings by more than 50 purveyors of fine foods and products will be dominating the scene. Cost is $85-$215 depending on options chosen. Visit online or call 1-877-946-3976.
