SeussTedCat.jpg Celebrate the King of Imagination on Saturday, Feb. 28, at the Springfield Museum's Birthday bash for the one and only Dr. Seuss.

Artist and author, Theodor Seuss Geisel was born in Springfield, Mass., on March 2, 1904. Springfield does not let a year pass without a party for his legacy. All activities are free with museum admission and includes a chance to meet the Cat in the Hat as he prowls the Science Museum galleries, rain forest art activities, a “Dr. Seuss Takes the Cake” contest, a reading of Green Eggs and Ham and, of course, a stroll around the famous Dr. Seuss National Memorial Sculpture Garden.

Birthday celebration runs from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Adults, $10; students and seniors, $7; children ages 3–17, $5. For information call 413-263-6800 or visit online.
