Lowell film fest this weekend
A full schedule of films focused on such issues as garment production, sustainability, fair trade, and food supply and demand in today’s complex global market will be the theme of the 2nd Annual Lowell Film Festival, happening this weekend, April 3-5.
An opening night reception kicks off the event this Friday, followed by the Opening Night After-Party. Highlights include over 10 feature and documentary films; guest speakers and panel discussions; a fair-trade “market” featuring businesses, organizations, and retailers who embrace fair-trade practices; and a Sunday wrap-up brunch. Locations vary, look online for details. Oh, and this fabulous community occasion is free!
