Gypsy jazz guitar on the Cape
The John Jorgenson Quintet returns to Cape Cod after a sellout concert last summer. A joint benefit for the Wellfleet Preservation Hall and the Payomet Performing Arts Center, this unique opportunity to see Grammy award winner John Jorgenson in a small and personal venue is going to attract a sold out show.
Jorgensen is known as one of the pioneers of the American gypsy jazz movement. He has performed as a solo artist, as well as collaborated with other musicians from Barbra Streisand to Bonnie Raitt to Earl Scruggs. Not too shabby. Concert starts at 8 p.m. on Sunday, May 24, at the Wellfleet Congregational Church. General admission is $30 and preferred seating [first 10 rows plus after-party] is $75. Cal for tickets at 508-487-5400 or buy online.
