opera.jpg Opera is alive and well in Vermont, and the three-week Green Mountain Opera Festival's annual growth is proof. From May 29-June 21, the festival features free open rehearsals, various concerts, both operatic and broadway style, free master classes with renown opera stars such as Phyllis Curtin and Sanford Sylvan, and a fully staged, costumed production of "The Marriage of Figaro," accompanied by the Green Mountain Opera Orchestra and Chorus. These hills are indeed filled with the sound of music. Look online for details and tickets, or call 1802-496-7722.
