Get a different taste of Truro -- with wine

Posted by Kimberly Sherman June 9, 2009 11:00 AM

barrels.jpgWhen most folks think of the outer Cape, they think Provincetown. But Truro is clearly worth checking out. The town offers all the natural amenities of the best Cape towns, with its clean beaches, salt meadows, and bountiful cranberry bogs. Unlike other towns, however, Truro is home to Truro Vineyards, and this Saturday, June 13, the vineyard opens its doors to a first-ever culinary event -- A Taste of Truro.

In celebration of the town's 300th birthday, Truro Vineyards invites Cape restaurants, local artisans, musicians, and visitors to its expansive grounds to celebrate history, and its grape. Best of all this event is free and open to the public, and Vineyard wines will be on sale by the glass or bottle. Come browse, nibble, and dance in Truro this weekend. Check out details online.
