belkin-farm.jpg It's not Willie, but it's still Farm Aid. Natick's Belkin Family Lookout Farm and Farm Aid have teamed up to hold the first-ever “Farm Aid Day at Belkin Farm” this Saturday, June 20th. The day-long celebration will include children’s activities such as face painting, train rides and moon bounce, live music, raffles with prizes such as restaurant gift cards, t-shirts and free admission to local attractions, and activities like seed ball making and cooking demos emphasizing locally grown food.

Strawberries will be in full season and available for picking in the orchards or for purchase at concessions. Event runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and costs $8 [with $3 going straight to Farm Aid], and children under 2 are free. Call 508-653-0653 or look online for details.

Part of the proceeds from admission fees will benefit Farm Aid, which is based in Somerville. Farm Aid’s mission is to support family farms in America. Farm Aid artists and board members include Willie Nelson, Neil Young, John Mellencamp and Dave Matthews. Visit www.farmaid.org for more information.
