Special kind of 4th on top of Boston
Yes, we all know it as Boston's best place for a bird's eye view of the Hub and beyond, but we all should come to know it as one of Boston's finest dining destinations. An impressive 52 floors above the Back Bay, the Top of the Hub restaurant and adjoining Skywalk Observatory offer guests a spectacular view of the Boston skyline from every table. If you're looking for something a bit different than cramming into a body-filled lawn, trying to keep your blanket from bunching and your kids from wandering, consider reserving your table now for the annual Top of the Hub Independence Day dinner.
The evening begins with an hors d’oeuvres and cocktail reception from 7 to 8 p.m., followed by a five-course dinner designed by executive chef Mark Porcaro. Dinner is complemented by a simulcast of the Boston Pops concert, live from the Hatch Shell. King Crab Cocktail, Heirloom Tomato Gazpacho, Lemon Musto Oil, Micro Coriander, Grilled Block Island Swordfish, Five-Onion Salad, Creamy Mascarpone and Roasted Tomato Polenta, Pan Seared Tenderloin of Beef, Red Onion Relish, Potato Strudel, Mushroom Ragout, Fresh from the Garden Greens, Roasted Tomato Vinaigrette, Crumbled Feta, Chickpeas, Cherry Tomatoes, and Dessert.
