The largest agricultural fair in the Monadnock region is just around the corner. The Cheshire Fair is starting up this Wednesday, July 29 and will run through Sunday, Aug. 2. Here you'll find a jammed packed schedule of typical fair flair like stage shows, 4-H exhibits, horse and oxen pulls, demolition derby, tough truck rodeo, and ATV rodeo. Bring your apron and your best recipe for a zesty cornbread as the baking contest is sponsored by the great King Arthur Flour Company. Cheshire Fair's theme for 2009 is 'How the West Was Won', so don your chaps and cowboy up to Swanzey, N.H. this week!
