More than 40 amateur and professional male chefs gather at Stratton Mountain Resort to prepare their best recipes, offering plenty of samples and instruction to visitors.  Every year, this "Men Who Cook" series features bountiful recipes of apps, entrees, and desserts prepared by local notable and quotable amateur chefs, with all proceeds going to the Stratton Foundation which invests in community building in southern Vermont.  Held on Saturday, Jan. 16 at the Stratton Resort Base Lodge at 7 p.m., this serves to be the perfect apres-ski event.  Rounding out the Foodee offerings is a fantastic silent auction offering popular gift items to exotic tours.  Start your charitable giving early in 2010 and purchase some tickets at $35 each.
