Lisbon.jpgSATA, Portugal's second largest airline, adds new flights from Boston to Portugal this spring with special round-trip introductory fares starting at $462 (for the Azores) and $578 (for Lisbon).

On April 10, SATA adds a weekly direct flight to Ponta Delgada on São Miguel in the Azores, an Atlantic archipelago two hours from Lisbon and a four-hour flight from New England. The islands are home to black-sand beaches, geysers, volcanic mountains, and seaside villages.

Nonstop service to Lisbon takes off on Wednesdays beginning June 9 and on Sundays starting July 25. And service to Lisbon (Tuesday through Saturday) and Porto (every Wednesday), with one stop in the Azores, begins in late June. 800-762-9995, www.sata.pt.
