2 fab-moo-lous Vermont celebrations
Vermont's got cows like Carter's got pills, my Gram would say. And cows it is for the first glorious weekend of June. The Vermont Dairy Festival in Enosburg Falls takes place June 3-6 while Brattleboro's got its infamous Strolling of the Heifers Prade, Dairyfest and Green Expo going on June 4-6.
Enosburg Falls considers itself the "Dairy Capital of the World" and makes sure its visitors to the festival leave for home knowing it! Guests can look forward to a myriad of midway rides, raffles, concessions, bingo, Texas Hold 'Em, and arts and crafts. Joggers should bring their running shoes and join in the 32nd Annual Milk Run. The evenings grow more vibrant with live moo-sic and much foot stomping on more than one stage, as well as, a fireworks display on Saturday night. Check schedule of events online and choose your perfect day to attend.
The Strolling of the Heifers Parade, Dairyfest and Green Expo makes sure that everyone in your carload is entertained, educated and elated! The parade is truly unique as 100 flower-bedecked bovine beauties stroll down Main Street by proud owners. What follows is a boisterous schedule of live music, demonstrations, contests, dancing and fabulous raffles. A distinct feature is the Know Your Cheese Maker, Sugar Maker and Baker series which educates visitors on knowing just where the food you love, comes from.
