Every trail has got to end some where, and Maine residents celebrate the very notion. The Trails End Festival in Millinocket and Baxter State Park is a three-day celebration at the northern end of the Appalachian Trail.

The 2010 Trails End Festival entertainment schedule is highlighted by a free David Mallett concert in Veteran's Memorial Park. Expect plenty of live music, volunteering on a trail project, children’s ranger-led nature hikes in the park, moonlit kayak paddles, movies, parade and more. The Festival is held from September 10-12.
