The Colonnade Hotel on Huntington Avenue in Boston is reaching out to charity-minded, holiday-spirited pet owners. On Dec. 11, the hotel invites people to stop by the hotel with their pets for a photo with Santa Claus; $20 gets them a framed, keepsake portrait, and all proceeds go to the Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. "Picture Your Pet with Santa" will run from 1-4 p.m. and includes snacks and holiday drinks - for people and pets. Participating humans are automatically entered into a drawing for a "Cause for Paws" package at the hotel, which includes an overnight for two, champagne on arrival, and breakfast at the hotel's Brasserie Jo restaurant the next day.
