Reserve now for Ritz's White Truffle Dinner in Fla.
For those who covet truffles, those magnificent mushrooms from Italy with the rich, intense, earthy yet out-of-this-world flavor, the annual White Truffle Dinner at the Ritz-Carlton Key Biscayne, Fla., is a must-attend event. The menu, presented by the restaurant's chef de cuisine, Enzi Gamba, with sommelier Jorge Mendoza, and Fiorenzo Dogliani of Batasiolo SpA winery, includes six courses, each highlighted with fresh, shaved white truffles from Alba, Italy.
The Monday, Nov. 7, dinner will be held in a private dining room at the resort's Cioppino restaurant.
White truffles, known as the diamonds of the kitchen, are almost as pricey as the gemstones. The cost of the once-a-year gourmet indulgence is $190 per person, plus tax, and gratuity. It's always a sell-out; for reservations, call 305-365-4286. Seating is limited to 30 people.
