Elite Island Resorts, which has properties throughout the Caribbean, is now doing sales, marketing and reservations for The Club Barbados Resort and Spa, formerly Almond Beach Club Barbados, and is offering a deal at the resort with introductory rates of up to 50 percent off through Dec. 20. The resort has 161 rooms, two restaurants (indoor and outdoor), three freshwater pools and a variety of water sports. Elite Island Resorts has hotels in Antigua, St. Lucia, Tortola, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Grenada and Anguilla.

All-inclusive rates start at $335 per night, per person. Booking by Sept. 15 pretty much guarantees the 50-percent off that rate, hotel officials said, but after that, the discount is less hefty as the Caribbean enters its busier seasons. For reservations and information visit www.theclubbarbados.com, or call 866-317-8009.
