New Haven hosts its ninth annual restaurant week Nov. 11-16, with 33 of the city's most popular eateries offering prix fixe menus of $18 for lunch and $32 for dinner, which includes appetizer, entree and dessert, but not tax and tip. The event is also a fundraiser; diners are encouraged to kick in $1 for the Connecticut Food Bank, which feeds one person for one day. The food bank serves about 600 community-based programs in six of the state's eight counties.
